The Mission Soil is making significant progress towards its goal of protecting and restoring soil health. Its projects are delivering results, and engagement with farmers, citizens, and local authorities is intensifying. With a growing network of Mission Soil Ambassadors and increasing political support, the Mission is focusing on improving soil health for everyone in Europe and beyond. The Mission's momentum is further strengthened by the recent adoption of the Soil Monitoring and Resilience Directive. This marks a historic step towards protecting European soils. Since April 2023, individuals, organisations, and regional and local authorities can endorse the Mission Soil Manifesto – a non-legally binding document, showing alignment with the Mission and its values. The Manifesto is available in all EU languages. This community counts 3655 signatories from 94 countries worldwide.
