Factsheet – European Research Executive Agency contributing to the Mission

Soil is key to food security, clean water and biodiversity, as well as for increasing resilience against natural disasters such as wildfires and floods. However, up to 70% of EU soils are unhealthy. For the benefit of the environment and citizens, the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ leads the transition to restore and protect soils by 2030.
