The second edition of the European Mission Soil Week 2024, concluded successfully. It was held from 12–13 November 2024 in Brussels, followed by a dedicated side event for the Mission Soil projects on 14 November.
This edition of Mission Soil Week brought together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, farmers and other key stakeholders to build momentum for ongoing efforts to improve soil health. It provided a platform to showcase the latest achievements of the Mission Soil, including the launch of the first 25 Mission Soil living labs, and to present the results of Mission-funded projects.
Participants had the opportunity to explore inspiring examples of sustainable soil management through field visits, network with soil communities across Europe and beyond, and discuss ongoing initiatives aimed at monitoring and enhancing soil health. The event also underscored progress in generating new knowledge, harmonising soil monitoring, co-designing and testing innovative solutions on the ground, raising societal awareness and engagement, and supporting the broader green transition.
Materials from the event, including photos, presentations, and graphic recordings, will soon be available on this page.
