The second webinar in the series, “Aligning 2025 Living Labs Proposals with Mission Objectives and Soil Monitoring Law,” is part of an ongoing effort to support applicants preparing proposals for the 2025 Living Lab topics focused on establishing Soil Health Living Labs under the EU Mission Soil. Building on the first webinar, this session will provide essential context for aligning proposals with the strategic goals of the Mission and understanding how these goals intersect with broader EU policy priorities.

The webinar will begin with an overview of how Mission Soil fits within the wider European policy framework, including its connections to the European Green Deal, Horizon Europe, and the Sustainable Development Goals. It will highlight the growing importance of soil health across EU strategies and its role in addressing environmental and societal challenges.

A detailed explanation of the Mission’s eight objectives will follow, illustrating their relevance across Europe’s diverse bio-geographical regions. Participants will gain practical insights into how their proposals can reflect these objectives through place-based approaches tailored to regional soil challenges. The session will also include an update on the Soil Monitoring Law, with specific guidance on how to integrate its requirements into proposal development.

To bring these elements to life, the webinar will feature insights and lessons learned from the first Mission Soil Living Labs, showcasing real-world experiences and best practices. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session, and participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance via the registration form. Please note that project-specific questions will not be addressed during the session; applicants seeking individual support are invited to contact their national mentors.
