Discussion paper - Incentivising the transition to soil health, regenerative farming practices

Publication

Agriculture both contributes to and is affected by climate change, with intensive farming practices degrading soil and threatening food production. In Europe, over 60% of soils are considered unhealthy, underscoring the need to transform farming methods to support soil health. Despite their central role, farmers lack sufficient support to adopt soil-health practices. This discussion paper explores solutions to these challenges through regenerative agriculture, a widely resonant approach that encourages sustainable soil management across diverse farming communities.
